What Others Think Of Our Work

Dear Murray,

I felt the need to put down on paper and let you know my thoughts. (Ive done it in brief, it could have been a 30 page booklet about how impressed I am).

Being a Jag enthusiust and a rev head I was keen to see what performance I could get out of a 4.2 Jag. After hearing of murrays racing success I spoke to him, he gave me the pro's n con's, weight being a con I went ahead with a "Peninsula Jag" performance rebuild. Whilst running it in I was probably nursing it to much but once I was satisfied is was run-in I aquired some triples and extractors and still cant believe the power it makes three years on. I have to strenthen my drivers seat because of the G force. Its a sleeping cat you dont want to poke!

In 2003 I decided on Murray Scoble and staff of Peninsula Jag P/L to entrust with the reconditioning / overhauling of my 4.2 Series 3 motor. His reputation is wide-spread as a man who knows his engines so he got the job and I haven’t looked back since. The engine came back perfectly clean, painted and detailed with an itemised invoice that told me in detail what I had got for my money. To this day I still have not had a problem, no noises, no oil usage or leaks and I am very pleased with the results.

Further, his knowledgable attention to the regular servicing of my car during the following years was excellent and I couldn’t speak more highly of him as a mechanic and as a businessman.

I have an early series two XJ6 and have spent a heap of money on it, the only area I hadn’t was the engine and it was time. The job went to Murray Scoble (Peninsula Jag) and I couldn’t be happier.

This has certainly made all the difference, I can get in it and go anywhere with absolute confidence and I’m sure this car will see me out.

When I purchased my series 3 v12 Jag it was suffering from a number of the typical problems suffered by that model. I was particularly pleased when I started taking it to Peninsula Jag with the methodical approach Murray took to rectifying these problems. I always found Murray to be extremely helpful, knowledgeable and very reasonable with the rates he charged. I would have no hesitation in recommending his workmanship.

I’ve got a late series 3 XJ6 and it needed a new heartbeat. Being involved in motor sport and a mechanic myself I have heard of Murrays reputation. I had no hesitation but to give the job to Peninsula jag (Murray Scoble).
I’m thinking about racing it myself, cheers Murray and good luck.

I haven’t got a Jag but Murray is the man when it comes to English engines, my Jensen Healy, my V8 triumph stag and my lotus élan are all going strong thanks to Murray Scoble and Peninsula Jag.

I had a low mileage 84 series three and unfortunately the motor needed doing, Murray and the team saw to it and it was fantastic.
It was only then I could park it over other people’s driveways without the embarrassing oil leak dramas and was happy to take it anywhere or anytime for it was my daily user.
It was terrible when it was involved in an accident writing the car off but I’ll bet the motor is now in someone else’s car by now and is still going beautifully.

I finally purchased another jag after many years without one and was lucky enough to find Murray around the same time, that was a god send.
I sure do hope my dramas are small now he has moved his family and business to sth east Queensland. Good luck Murray
